Krikit is Gary’s musical publishing company, but this site encompasses many more of his artistic interests and endeavors than just publishing. Raised in a musical household, Gary’s own musical aptitudes became evident at a young age. In kindergarten, one of Gary’s teachers was amazed to hear one of her five-year-old students harmonizing, and that was just the beginning! Over the years, Gary has tried his hand (and voice) at many varieties of music, on many different instruments, including guitar, banjo, other strings, piano, recorder, and ocarina, to name just a few. He has been composing and performing his own music for several decades, and has collaborated with several international artists and ensembles, including the Johannischer Chor in Berlin, German folk singer Hannes Wader, and his best guitar buddies Tom Draughon and Ron Hulsebus, collectively forming the group Indian Summer.

Gary’s interest in photography has been developing for nearly as long as the music, and his professional travels to over 40 countries have provided him with plentiful material. His personal favorite photographic subjects include close-ups of insects, spiders and their dew-laden webs, and many other small-scale natural scenes whose beauty and complexity are too often overlooked or taken for granted.
